Dom Rodi graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Wolverhampton, U.K. Pursuing a career in advertising with Ogilvy & Mather he subsequently joined the ideas-rich environment of mass-market publishing. As senior designer with Granada Publishing he produced designs for the covers of five leading paperback imprints and two hardback lists, before becoming Art Director for Star Books / W.H.Allen and subsequently Sphere Publishing.

In 1979, having been approached by Artist Partners, a leading British illustrator’s agency, he embarked on the second stage of his career by accepting the position of managing director. Over the span of 17 years he successfully developed the agency’s international market base, created a thriving licensing market, found and developed new illustrative talent, and in doing so, established Artist Partners as the foremost creative supplier of illustration to the British publishing industry.

A founder member of the Society of Artist’s Agents, Dom Rodi regularly held portfolio seminars for illustration students, accepted numerous invitations from British art colleges to lecture in all aspects of graphic design and illustration, and has participated as a judge to many of the illustrator showcases (both professional and student) that were held on an annual basis.

Since moving to Florida in 2000 with his talented wife, Jan, he has managed to find time, whilst continuing his varied work within graphic design, to pursue an unfulfilled creative side of his personality. Working exclusively with digital technology, he has succeeded in developing and establishing highly distinctive and acclaimed digital images that are now shown in galleries and private collections as well as being viewed at numerous art fairs and within his personal website: www.domrodi.com.

With his involvement in Great Little Books, from the design of its website onwards, Dom regards himself as returning to his design and publishing roots and eagerly looks forward to the exciting technological and creative challenges that lie ahead.
